Business Bankruptcy is a 3 credit hour course that covers the legal issues associated with the reorganization and liquidation of financially troubled business debtors. It deals primarily with Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code. Specific topics include: out-of-court workouts, eligibility for relief, jurisdiction and venue of bankruptcy cases, the automatic stay, operation and control of Chapter 11 debtors, classification and treatment of claims and interests, formulation and confirmation of Chapter 11 plans.
