Mission Statement
The Hispanic
Law Student Association plays an essential role in the development of Hispanics
and the growth of Hispanic awareness at Capital University Law School.
Through a series of activities throughout the year, HLSA hopes to enlighten
and inform students, faculty and staff to the variety which one can find
in Hispanic culture, and its contributions to our society. The Association
brings together a group of diverse individuals and allows them to share
the backgrounds, cultures, and experiences that have been passed down to
them through the generations. Although HLSA's activities concentrate
on Hispanic life, people from all races are welcome to join and have
joined to exalt the atmosphere of diversity.
HLSA Goals
To increase interest in the law profession in the Hispanic community
To increase awareness of the Hispanic culture
Increase minority recruitment at Capital University Law School
Through association with similar organizations throughout the country,
to increase
minority recruitment at law schools nationwide
To become active in minority mentorship
