Welcome to the Capital University Law School Federalist Society home page. The Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to the protection of individual freedom, free markets, and limited, constitutional government. Our student and lawyer chapters across the country sponsor debates, speeches, and symposia to promote awareness of the Constitution and its fundamental principles, namely, federalism, the separation of powers, and the protection of individual rights, as they were understood by the Founders. Another purpose of the Society is to provide an alternative to the leftist orthodoxy which tends to prevail on many law school faculties and on the governing boards of many legal organizations such as the American Bar Association. Today, the Federalist Society is the leading force for serious, intellectual discussion and debate of constitutional and public policy questions in American law schools and in the legal profession.
