Comments Pertaining to Past IPLS Meetings:

The second meeting of the semester is planned for Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at 5:00 PM. Please join us!

The IPLS will be hosting a panel of local Intellectual Property attorneys, including some who teach the IP classes at Capital. The panel will be giving a general overview of the popular types of IP followed by a discussion comparing and contrasting life in a firm v. life in a corporation. This event will be the first in a series of panel discussions sponsored by IPLS.

The panel will consist of Mr. Jason Foster, Ms. Christen Millard, and Mr. Michael Gegenheimer. Mr. Foster teaches the patent law class at Capital and is an attorney at Kremblas, Foster, Phillips & Pollick. Ms. Millard teaches the intellectual property survey class at Capital and is principal counsel at Honda R & D Americas. Mr. Michael Gegenheimer is corporate counsel at Battelle Memorial Institute.

Come and take advantage of this is a great opportunity to hear your future professors talk about their subjects of expertise.

We will be hosting an informative meeting featuring John White, President of PLI who will be speaking about the Patent Bar and IP Careers. Light Refreshments Will Be Provided. Thank you very much for the outstanding attendance at our last meeting. We hope that we helped to answer many of your questions about IP at Capital and the Patent Bar. If you have any other questions regarding anything, please do not hesitate to contact any of the officers.

Once again, we are sorry that the pizza did not show up and PROMISE to make it up to you at the next meeting. Somewhere along the line a mix up occurred and the pizza ended up being delivered on Friday!
